Our current debt limit no longer matches the scope of our infrastructure needs.
Our water district is asking for your support to increase its debt limit. This is not going to raise your rates. The district has already raised rates and has the funding to pay for planned projects overtime with low interest loans and bonds. Construction costs have gone up drastically over recent years making it necessary to increase our borrowing limit. Infrastructure is a critical investment to ensure the continued reliability, safety, and affordability of our community's water supply. An increase to the debt limit will allow us to finance necessary upgrades to our aging infrastructure through low-cost municipal bonds, grants and other financing options.
